Racing Performance Works Customised  Race Engines.

This customised engines has been built to the highest standard and has been built to handle extreme boost levels with the use of forged components. Available as an outright sale, there is no exchange motor requried to be returned. Freight is additional to price.

Short motor means that this includes sump pan, timing cover with oil pump, rear main oil seal carrier. No cylinder heads, timing belt or crank gears / pulleys. All this would need to be transferred across from origonal engine.

This engine will suit following applications

1 - Mitsubishi Galant 6A13 DOHC Twin Turbo 1996 +

2 - Mitsubishi Legnum 6A13 DOHC Twin Turbo 1996 +

The short motor rebuild includes the following machine work

1. Engine block is stripped and acid cleaned, and then recleaned prior to assembly
2. Engine block is decked on the top face to ensure perfect mating to head gasket.
3. Engine block has been tunnel honed to remove any clearance issues
4. Head bolt threads are retapped to remove any debris / damaged threads
5. Bores are individually bored and honed using Sunnon Specialised Equipment to the specified tolerances dictated by pistons manafacturer.
6. Crankshaft has been linished and uses Standard Bearing Diameters.
7. Engine assembling / measurements are performend utilising standard Engine Blueprinting methods.

The short motor rebuild includes the following components

1. CP Forged Piston Set 8.5 : 1 Compression ratio, fully floating pistons
2. Argo Engineering Forged Steel Conrods
3. Brass Core plugs
4. ACL Main Bearings
5. ACL Thrust Bearings
6. Genuine Mitsubishi Conrod Bearings
7. Genuine Mitsubishi rear main and timing cover seals
8. New oil pump screws
9. Fitted with Sump and oil pickup

This engine is capable of handling in excess of 20 psi boost and has the potential of in excess of 400kw of horsepower with correct turbos, head choice etc. Motor is wrapped and sealed in plastic.
